Dr. Kapczinski has been in the forefront of research in biomarkers for mood disorders. In 2016 his work was recognized in a profile report at Lancet Psychiatry, focusing on his career and achievements.
Neuroprogression
Dr. Kapczinski and colleagues helped to develop the concepts of neuroprogression and staging in bipolar disorder. He is a coauthor on a recent book called "Neuroprogression in Psychiatry".
